Jesus Horatio Christ! The writing here is excellent. Raw and funny and smart and thoughtful. But the truths you lay down about the absolute torture of the job search are...well, powerful is an understatement.

Thank you for putting all that into beautiful words.

Best of luck out West.

Really fucking love this. We don't know each other, even though I too was laid off from [chaotic company redacted] this year. Happened to find this blog on LinkedIn. Thoroughly enjoyed every word and couldn't resonate enough. Congratulations and so much good luck!

I read the whole thing and its literally the best way to procrastinate from prepping for a phone screen for this job that i really want (and i really need bec layoffs duh). thanks for saying that job hunting while unemployed is not easy - there are days im literally staring to the wall, days im questioning my purpose, days im inspired to keep scrolling on linkedin and network and send those notes to ask people to refer you - its draining. but you cant stop bec money. anywho - congrats about Nike wohooo!!! and subscribing to this newsletter!

I love this, SO much. And thought I might have been the only one that felt utterly useless after months of going through 100's of interviews. I felt all of what you wrote so deeply. Thank you for putting it into words and releasing it out into the universe! You are brilliant. Also, my brother moved to Portland in April! He is fairly shy, but he is blossoming! I know you will too <3 Congratulations!!!
